Week 09: March 28

Rough Draft of your final paper is due!

Your draft should do the following:

1) Motivate your research topic, theme or question. This should include some connections to previous research literature, and a narrative that makes your question compelling.

2) Clearly state your research question.  You may have some associated or secondary questions, but be sure that the main question is clearly stated.

3) Articulate how you have decided to operationalize your question. What will you look at exactly to “observe” the phenomena you are interested in, and what will “count” as data.

4) Identify, and provide a provide a rationale for the type(s) of methods that you will use to answer your research question. Are you using primarily quantitative or qualitative methods, or both? How are you combining methods, and what are the strengths and weaknesses of the chosen methods?

These should be posted to the blog.
